Driving Directions
Whale Rock is on Marine Drive, Lawrence Rocks — directly opposite the Margate fishing pier and a short walk to Margate Main Beach.
From Margate Airport
- Margate Airport is only 5km away — about a 10-minute drive.
- Head towards the beachfront on Marine Drive, Lawrence Rocks.
- Whale Rock is directly opposite the Margate fishing pier.
From the North (Durban)
- Take the N2 south from Durban towards Port Edward.
- Take the Margate off-ramp and follow signs to the beachfront.
- Whale Rock is on Marine Drive, Lawrence Rocks — directly opposite the Margate fishing pier.
From the South (Port Edward / Eastern Cape)
- Take the N2 north towards Margate.
- Take the Margate off-ramp towards the beachfront.
- Follow Marine Drive to Lawrence Rocks — Whale Rock is opposite the fishing pier.

Cancellation Policy
All Whale Rock bookings are non-refundable once confirmed, so please make sure your dates are firm before booking. We recommend taking out your own travel insurance for peace of mind.
House Rules
Smoking is permitted outdoors only. Children of all ages are welcome. A refundable breakage deposit is required per unit booked, and small pets are welcome in select units (2, 19 & 32) — max 2 small dogs.
